Special Issue on social contingency
The focus of the issue is the mechanisms through which social contingency affect learning and the scope of this influence (e.g., domains of knowledge, levels at which effects manifest).
The goals of the special issue on social contingency are:
Synthesize this work insights from past and current work,
Identify gaps in our knowledge, and
Propose new direcrtions of research.
The special issue will include a mix of empirical, opinion, and review pieces.
The issue will cover work conducted in a wide set of disciplines, including, but not limited to:
Animal communication
Social robotics
Neuroscience
Language and communicative development
Social development
Philosophy and anthropology
Clinical psychology
